1.1. How to check-in at a hotel step by step?

1. Arrive at the hotel and head to the front desk.
2. The reception staff will check your details to confirm that the reservation is in their system.
3. They will ask for your ID or passport to verify that you are the person who made the reservation and will be staying at the hotel.
4. You will then be asked to fill in a form with different information depending on the country, including the following:

  • Name and surname.
  • Country of nationality.
  • Identity card or passport number.
  • Contact information, such as telephone and/or e-mail.

5. Finally, you will check that all the information is correct and sign the hotel contract.
6. They will give you the key to enter your room or a code in case you have a smart lock. You will also be given you important details such as breakfast time, check-out time, etc. Don’t hesitate to ask anything you need!

3. Differences between traditional check-in and online check-in
